Lena Dive Wreck - Bunbury Western Australia

A great dive a couple of weeks ago on the wreck of the 'Lena'. The Lena was a Russian fishing boat that was found to be fishing illegally in Australian waters in 2002 and was pursued almost to South Africa before it was apprehended and returned to Western Australia. The captain was found guilty in court and fined and his ship was confiscated. The ship was obtained and cleaned out then sunk as a dive wreck off the coast near Bunbury in the SW of Western Australia. It is around 55 metres long and lies around 20 metres deep not far off the coast. I was lucky enough to be allowed to do two one hour solo dives along side a group of 10 other divers.
