This blog contains photos, mainly taken during diving around Perth and other parts of Western Australia, with occasional other locations thrown in. This header photograph was taken during a trip to Sipadan Island off the coast of Borneo. It shows a Grey Reef Shark disappearing into the gloom, which drops to around 600 metres deep - I was at around 30 metres!!

Turtle at Sipidan - May 2010
Sipidan is an Island off the east coast of Sabah (Borneo). The island is only about 1Km across and is surrounded by beautiful coral reefs. The ocean bottom is over 200 metres below and most of the diving is done in the top 30 metres. There are a huge variety of fish species in these protected waters and turtles are very common on every dive.
