This blog contains photos, mainly taken during diving around Perth and other parts of Western Australia, with occasional other locations thrown in. This header photograph was taken during a trip to Sipadan Island off the coast of Borneo. It shows a Grey Reef Shark disappearing into the gloom, which drops to around 600 metres deep - I was at around 30 metres!!

Pseudorhiza Haeckeli!! - Interesting Jellyfish!!
This Jellyfish drifted past me while I was doing a safety stop at 5 metres following a dive on Three Mile Reef south of Hillarys Marina in Perth. It took me ages to discover what it was - and even now I have doubts as to its type.
That is the most extraordinary creature, very delicate looking, I wonder if it could give a nasty sting?
ReplyDeleteI too thought it was interesting. I saw one next to my boat in Adelaide..31/03/13.. Just presumed it was a species from SA that I had'nt seen before..
