This blog contains photos, mainly taken during diving around Perth and other parts of Western Australia, with occasional other locations thrown in. This header photograph was taken during a trip to Sipadan Island off the coast of Borneo. It shows a Grey Reef Shark disappearing into the gloom, which drops to around 600 metres deep - I was at around 30 metres!!

Fire Dartfish
This shot was taken at Sipadan, Borneo and shows a Fire Dartfish which is only 6-7 centimetres in length. I was lucky to see it as it is very timid and they live very close to the bottom, making them difficult to spot.
I can see how it would be hard to spot these, but so rewarding when you mange to get a shot! Your photo's always look brilliant when you pull them in closer, so much detail!
